🍣 Sushi Fighters CW404 NFT hybrid Launchpad + Airdrop incoming to #Injective chain.

Built by the DojoSwap team to be the first on #Cosmos — the CW404 standard.

This will be the NFT series with the deepest liquidity due to our AMM/DEX setup that allows yield mining rewards to be issued out, supporting depth of liquidity and floor price of the series.

Could we begin with a brief history of yourself and your team, and your role at SushiFighterNFT and what you were doing before SushiFighterNFT? I know you are involved in another huge project as well as — let’s call it the mother ship 🙂 we would love for our audience to hear about all that in some details for our audience to whet their appetites for the great things that your team has been building.

I’m Ebi, creator of Sushi Fighters NFT. We’re the first CW404 (cosmwasm version of ERC404) on Cosmos, and are launching tomorrow on Injective chain.

We’re part of the bigger Dojoswap, which is one of the few leading DEX protocols on Injective chain! We’ve got approximately 35mil TVL locked at the moment :)

Before this, I was an investor into crypto… Since early 2017 I think.

But I always had an affinity with NFT communities because I think they are one of the best ways to create an organic community

Art is visual so people can always relate to it (even bad art!)

Anyway, fast forward to October last year when my team and I were brainstorming for some good art

That was when I got interested in cute NFTs like pudgy penguins, sappy seals etc… I realised everyone loved them

So art-wise we went down this journey, and having known we were on Injective chain when everyone here are ninjas, I thought sushi would be perfect :D

This was my initial tagline: Every Ninja deserves a little treat

and here we are today!!

Please tell us about the concept of ERC404 and your implementation of this as the first CW404 project on Cosmos

ERC404 is a very recent concept… For those who don’t know just yet,

It’s a new token standard that combines some fungible (ERC20) and non-fungible (ERC721) properties.

Essentially, you can actually do something with fractional tokens of the collection. Previously with just sole NFTs you had to buy, sell or transfer in whole numbers.

So this deepens liquidity to a huge extent now, and also allows for some kind of fractional ownership.

In general, it is difficult to port EVM-compatible code over to Cosmos as it is coded in rust.

But the same benefits still apply.

Not only that, it is technically even better to do so due to lowered costs.

Awesome — thanks — many of us are getting exposure and getting acquainted with the concept which makes it that much more exciting to be participating in the first one on cosmos.

So our team went right in to create this on Injective!

I think one concern people have is if this is jumping on a hype train.

Like I said, the concept was derived since October.. The only last part we went into was introducing CW404 because of the tech benefits. Even if the hype dies down, it doesn’t stop the benefits. And given that we operate a DEX this is perfect!

Yes. Absolutely the hype is there for sure & I believe given the right implementation, will survive the test of time.

There’s definitely a lot of confusion though… but that happens with innovation!

Yes — I see many still grasping with the concept — but this will fade as time goes by and more develop an understanding by participating.

We’ve noticed that there are other tokens that are launching on your platform, could you tell us a bit about any that have been created by your team and what their use-case is?

Dojoswap has two main launch mechanics now — Airdrops and Launchpads.

They operate as per exactly how the name suggests

We have had a lot of projects hoping to launch tokens off us or gain user base by giving airdrops to our community, so I won’t go into each and every one of them.

But I will focus more on those of our own!

$SUSHI is definitely one of them, and like I said beyond the utilities of an NFT project, we now can setup liquidity pools with yield mining rewards using $SUSHI. This means you can earn while holding $SUSHI!

We are also airdropping $BABYDOJO, which is the first ever reflection token in the entire Cosmos ecosystem.

The key idea is really innovation… It is very risky launching the first of this, the first of that…

Our team has had experience building dex and protocols.

And we were looking for somewhere with a strong and small community, with good visibility, tech stack was decent etc.

In addition, in past 6 months cosmos ecosystems were hyping up.

This was why some of us invested into Injective at 8–10 dollars,

So our investment decision sort of influenced our decision as well!

True enough, when we started we received a lot of support from Injective labs and the community.

We were very new compared to the rest. But people gave us support and more.

What are you currently working on and can you describe your future roadmap?

Well my #1 focus now is to make sure the launchpad tomorrow is all smooth!! lol

That aside, the final touches for the website. And putting out educational information.

The burning mechanism is quite confusing and I foresee there will be people who may be confused.

Yeah but like anything else — they will catch on in time- I see this as one of the most asked questions on 404s.

This is a good place to talk about the token lock and answer many people who are confused by this. Many dont seem to understand how if they have say 2 whole tokens, which come with their associated NFT’s, how they can choose which NFT gets burnt if they sell a portion of one token.

Let me explain further

Burning from selling of portion of tokens works in a Last-In-First-Out mechanism, you cannot actually control the order.

Meaning to say, it will sell your most recently minted NFT.

But if you lock that NFT, then a response will trigger such that you wont be able to sell those tokens.

However, that also means you won’t be able to sell any of the earlier minted NFTs because burning mechanism order cannot be controlled.

Thus, you should transfer that token to a wallet that you use solely for art collection purposes, and then continue selling your tokens in the original wallet.

So if you lock your second most recently minted NFT, you will be able to sell the first one until you reach your portion of your tokens that may potentially burn your second NFT, then you will be stopped from doing so.

Could you please provide us with some challenges SushiFighterNFT has faced but overcome?

Of course!!

I don’t know how all the earlier projects and protocols doing it, but we haven’t launched and are already facing so many challenges lol

Marketing was the initial one, we tried an alpha OG system where only the eagle-eyed will notice and we reward them.

Then we also wanted to make it relatable, hence we held many contests for people to participate in.

I think we are doing an ok job but it is definitely not easy so far

Secondly, education.

I don’t know if doing a CW404 is the right thing given that it is so new. But we keep educating and doing what we can. And it won’t stop even after mint because that is where the real problems probable start lol

Lastly a bit more technical — contract capability.

Working with Talis now since they are the go-to NFT marketplace!

I see many of the OG-seekers standing on their nose to get that OG — you must be doing something right LOL

Yes it is experimental but I see this as the beginning of an evolving use case and being early & onto of the tech like you are will only serve to boost credit and knowhow.

Aside from the airdrops you mentioned above, do you have future plans for benefits that it might bring to hold SUSHI/SushiFighterNFT? Where do you see the SushiFighterNFT project next year?

This part has not been firmed up but there is two or more paths that we are considering, and not mutually exclusive either.

1 is of course the IP route just like pudgy penguins. Allow people to license their sushi fighters for various reasons for revenue. We just started talking to a small game creator to see if there is any angle for us to work together. I think the concept of ‘fighters’ has a lot of possibilities.

2 is a bit more like what Mad Lads pioneered, but what everyone is getting. Make the community so hyped that others want to airdrop tokens to them endlessly. These are not lousy tokens but pretty good ones from good companies. So we want to create an environment where big companies building on INJ want our user base, and giving our community holders benefit in the meantime.
