Could we begin with a brief history of yourself and your team, and your roles at Strongnode and what you were doing before Strongnode?

Of course, I am a 13-year veteran of the US Air Force, medically retired at the rank of Major with two combat tours having an interesting career covering everything from Security Forces to Space, to nukes, and Intelligence. As a Director of Operations for a deployed AF combat unit I found myself here with StrongNode as the VP of Operations. I handle everything from Community Management to Product Ops to “hey, we need to get this thing done”. Certified PMP and Agile, so process and product are my specialty after life in a uniform.

Daniel’s experience with MySQL is one of the reasons I’m so excited to be here. Everyone who has done development of some kind should recognize MySQL and the impact it has had on the world.

Can you tell us how Strongnode started and why you thought Strongnode needed to be built and what problem it solves?
Brandon S | StrongNode
StrongNode is the brainchild of our CEO, Daniel Saito, as a result of several of his past projects including work on launching ISPs, building the first console to console service for the SEGA Dreamcast, and has been in development for some time. It solves the problem of affordable compute costs for a wide variety of users, maximizes the use of devices (instead of them just sitting idle, they can be employed to run compute jobs), and allows users to get involved with crypto through an easily accessible process. Users can earn passive income through acting as nodes, directly running these jobs, and not necessarily acting as node validators.

How would you describe Strongnode if you were talking to someone unfamiliar with digital assets?

I love this question because I’ve had to explain this to my family several times. Ha ha. And always happy to take some time and help everyone understand what we do.

If you can simply explain something inherently complex, then you know that you have something special.
Brandon S | StrongNode
StrongNode provides the utility and the “so what” to crypto. We are taking your excess resources (CPU/GPU, bandwidth, and storage) to create a sort of quantum computer that users can access for medical research, AI/ML, and even game servers to reduce latency between devices, crunch large data sets, or a myriad of other use cases. A lot of people don’t really understand how networks function and are surprised to learn that your data sometimes hops from your home out to a data centre on the other side of town before coming back to your neighbour simply because they’re on a different ISP. As an Edge Network, we reduce those hops if there’s a node available, which is ultimately, another user. We use crypto and our token to pay people for allowing us to use this excess capacity while adding blockchain features like NFTs to create our own economies within StrongNode and the other projects coming onboard, including the one I’m heading up, which is Original Gamer Life, a crypto community for gamers, but that’s for another time.
You can both get compensated in our token, then turn around and spend it to use our service within the same ecosystem.

Is Strongnode built as a layer 2 solution? If so, on which blockchain have you built and why?

We wanted to get closer to the consumer (the mythical last 1 cm). We wanted to work with something that is fast, economical, and developer friendly, so we started out with Polygon. We will move on to other chains after that, probably on to Solana. But we wanted to make sure we effectively user Polygon features and functionality.

So, I Know that Strongnode is multichain. Which blockchains does Strongnode operate on? And are there plans to add more blockchains in the future?

We will operate on Polygon (MATIC), but expand when and where it makes sense to do so. As an ecosystem and our own economy, other projects that we launch (with some incredible announcements coming out on Monday), you’ll see where it makes sense to build out next. As we onboard … no- coiners? normies? non-crypto hodlrs? we want to make their bridge into the crypto world as frictionless and smooth as possible. We want to expose these new users to as many blockchains as possible and they’ll do that through our nexus.

What is the Strongnode token used for? Can you describe the Tokenomics? and are there any incentives to holding the Strongnode token?

The $SNE token is used on our platform for our enterprise and end user services, but it also forms the backbone of our wider ecosystem’s economy tying all of them together while users on these other products run StrongNode apps. We are incentivizing users to hold along with us. SEED and PRIVATE INVESTORS are locked up for 6 months. All employees and advisors are locked up for 4 years similar to what you would find in professional, corporate structures.
2% of the $SNE token supply will be sold for the $300K raise (200M tokens will go into circulation at $0.0015). You can find more about our tokenomics on our website. We share our sales, vesting, and totals right there for you to check out at your leisure.

This is another question I love because it reminds me of the democratization of the internet and the freedom that it affords. Users seeding for others to benefit. It’s an amazing way for us to share all our resources together.
Node Seeders are users who get $SNE for providing their idle resources (CPU/GPU, bandwidth, storage).
Node Enterprise are users who get $SNE for services via different methods: Traditional methods, via the $SNE token, or a combination of both (with a lot of incentives to use $SNE). If traditional FIAT methods are chosen via credit card or accounts receivable, whatever $SNE token is needed to pay the Node Seeders will be bought back and distributed to Node Seeders.

Yes, that is the premise and core feature of StrongNode allowing users to leverage their excess capacity (CPU/GPU, bandwidth, storage) in exchange for $SNE. We don’t make you pay for the ability to run nodes; we pay you for running as them.

We’re having a year where NFT is so popular. What developments did your project have on NFT?

We are building out a massive cross-platform NFT strategy across our whole ecosystem. We are not just talking random generative art projects we see springing up left and right. NFTs have massive use cases, especially when it comes to gaming, which we are HEAVILY focused on. Besides gaming NFTs, as Brandon mentioned before, we are working on an ID system within our ecosystem that will give people access to different services, benefits, and functionality — all access given and powered by an NFT in your wallet.
There’s so much more I wish I could say but can’t quite yet!

NFTs for days! I’ve been using my own gaming hivemind to think of all the crazy things we can do with NFTs and really push the boundaries. Not just the art aspects, but utility for unique and rare weapons and armour or even pets in games that aren’t necessarily DeFi focused, but are blockchain powered to appeal to mainstream gamers who don’t get crypto yet.

While we can’t predict the future, one of the benefits of StrongNode is that we provide utility along with our token. Instead of relying on all the conditions of the market and the success or challenges of others, we provide a service. There will always be a need for computational services and that is what we will lean on to sustain the pricing, value, and support of our token. We’re also buoyed by the fact that we’re building an ecosystem of other projects that will create new economies for our tokens.

We are global, in fact, we already have several non-English language channels to include Korea, Indonesia, Vietnam, Portugal/Brazil, Japan, and more to come. Our goal is to engage in a rolling adoption as well to ensure certain economies have access before others as the price rises. We want this to accessible as a token and service across the world.
There was such a large demand signal that we took our Nigeria channel and opened it up to all of Africa and now that community is growing daily.

My question is about your long-term marketing plans. How, or through which big partnerships do you plan on utilising to pass your product onto the normal consumer — especially non-crypto people?

What we are building has value to people not into crypto. We’ve always believed that it’s important to focus on the use cases NOT the blockchain aspect to it. So many projects get this wrong and are usually just chasing the moon boys and girls. We are a technology company that leverages blockchain NOT a blockchain company doing x, y, and z. We don’t want to immediately scare off people we need for the success of the platform.
With our focus on building real world applications that are easy to use by the average person, we are tackling all angles of marketing from online crypto marketing to traditional PR pieces, to guerrilla marketing, to targeting the different massive $ industries that aren’t in crypto but can use our services.
tl;dr we are targeting our messaging to the right audiences on the needed channels to get wide adoption.
