Could we begin with a brief history of yourself and your team, and your roles at Blocwars and what you were doing before Blocwars?

Of course!

My name is Mickey and I am the CMO of BLOCWARS. I have been in the blockchain industry for 4+ years and did a lot of special ops for projects and platforms, so I have seen the up and downs of the markets several times now…lol

Our core members are all Japanese. We have known each other for a long time, and all of us specialized in different things.

Could you please explain to us what Blocwars is all about and describe the upcoming gameplay?

BLOCWARS is a metaverse project that combines the elements of Fashion, Entertainment, E-Commerce and Social Network.

Our ambition is enabling everyone to turn likes into values.

We will have fashion PVP games, entertainment and other fun stuff to enrich our metaverse environment for our users.

Sounds really cool; How did Blocwars start? And when are you launching?

BLOCWARS was made by a decentralized autonomous corporation (DAC) established in April 2021 that mainly works on creating and operating fashion NFT IPs.

The team started BLOCWARS project in Q2 of 2021. We are devoted to building an immersive environment for brands and metaverse residents to interact in a more friendly way, enabling everyone to monetize likes.

According to our current plans, in the latter half of 2022, more metaverse features, including the avatar dressing system, Onimaru game centre and mount system, will be live gradually, while the land presale starts in Q3.

Which chain have you selected and why?

We’ve chosen the BNB chain as it is secure and stable, and the community ecology is more robust.

One of the most significant advantages of BNB chain is its reasonable gas fee. In addition, Binance is the world’s largest exchange with a large and still growing user base.

The advantage of being on BNB chain is the ecosystem of projects and communities that can keep projects ahead in the NFT space.

Of course, we have plans to allow cross-chaining to Avalanche, Polygon, Solana, and other chains in the future.

Can you describe your token utility? When will be the token launch for Blocwars?

Tokens are essential in a way that serve as in metaverse currency, and will be utilized in the fields of our metaverse related clothing, food, housing, transportation and entertainment.

To be more specific, tokens are used to purchase, create, socialize, trade, entertain and governance.

To enhance your Blocwars metaverse journey experience, tokens are necessary to customize your avatars, decorate your swag zone and build up your land through purchasing outfit nfts, decorative item nfts, constructive material nfts respectively.

Players in our metaverse consume tokens to get fun through paid rave events, exclusive parties and fashion shows.

Tokens can always be used to tip friends or subscribe to different clubs and membership cards.

Last but not least….

we also use token for DAO voting! Tokens holders entitle community governance therefore tokens will have huge impact on a few critical events or future plans of this project.

We plan to launch IDO depending on the crypto and metaverse market✨

If you don’t have any Onimaru NFTs, you can still join in to dress up your avatar and enjoy the immersive virtual environment, achieve the daily missions and tasks, and even swag-to-earn.

You’ll need to hold Onimaru NFTs if you want to experience more of our core features😎

for example, to take part in the PVP games, become VIPs of some collaborated brands, or attend some special online events✨

I believe you have already had some NFT sales. How have they gone so far? Tell us about successes, and lessons learnt so far.

So far, we’ve already launched 4 collections of Onimaru NFTs, and a collection of apartment access NFTs.

Genesis Collections, 9,999 in total, including the Onimaru Bad Kid Collection, Binance Bad Kid collection, and the Onimaru MetaHuman Collection, these 3 are sold out.

Onimaru × TGC: the Run Way Collection, co-branding with Tokyo Girls Collection (TGC, one of the biggest fashion festivals in Japan), 2,500 in total and sold at Binance NFT Marketplace- sold out.

BLOCWARS Apartment: Aperture Access Collection, 300 in total-sold out.

We’re excited to tell you that they’re all sold out, but we know that there’s a long way for us to go to develop an ideal metaverse platform.

Luckily, we have a great community which will always give us new ideas and inspirations.

Tell us about you upcoming land sales and why investors should take interest in your land vs what’s already out there?

Sure🙂

We have 2 layers of land, the upper layer will be our commercial area where all the shops are located.

It will be more organized by us, which also differentiates us with other projects. We believe that it is more friendly this way for the beginners and new metaverse users, so they don’t have to build everything from scratch on their own.

And we also have the residential area on the ground layer where our players can demonstrate their creativity, this is where we launch land sale, depending on the land size and location, the price would be different.

Players can build their own houses, decide on the furniture and decorations etc. It’s going to be limited quantities since we’d like to increase its value.

We will release the land pre-sale to our core users starting from Q3, and periodically release the land public sale in Q4.

Metaverse lands become valuable assets just like physical lands, and people can make money by selling them, leasing them or building on them.

What do I get in return for staking my NFT’s? And did I understand correctly that you have NFT farming? How does this work?

In our NFT staking/farming Program, Onimaru NFTs are allowed for staking to earn more NFTs, and once the token is issued, the token as well.

The background story for this is Onimaru as a metahuman living in the blockchain, Onimaru is talented at arithmetic capability.

He can solve computing problems for other worlds to earn more NFTs as rewards.

Before 16th May 2022, players got mystery boxes (genesis collections) from the staking program. After the update on the 16th, the rewards pool was expanded to Onimaru mystery boxes, decorations, furniture, land fragments, clothing, outfits, and accessories✨

You have this unique feature called “ Swag to Earn” Kindly explain what this is and how this works?

Swag-to-Earn is a concept created by BLOCWARS, allowing players to earn from fashion events, socializing and entertainment in the virtual community. Players can earn from Social Index, Fashion Index and Entertainment Index.

Social Index: Everyone can become a social influencer, and earn from his/her influence. The more followers, likes and shares you get, and the more likes and shares your NFTs get, the higher your Social Index becomes.

Fashion Index: It depends on the NFT assets you hold. For example, the tokens, Onimaru NFTs, or NFTs from other projects.

Entertainment Index: Players can earn from daily missions, part-time jobs, mini-games and much more.

Therefore, everyone has a chance to be on top of the ranking through different approaches such as being active, being an influencer or being an NFT holder😎

Besides the lands on which the players can have their houses, we also provide players with another choice of personal zone. With apartment access NFTs, players can enter their apartments, put furniture in them and decorate them with NFTs they have.

We’ve launched a collection of 300 BLOCWARS Apartment: the Aperture Accesses, which are all sold out, as I’ve mentioned. And if you’re a holder of the 2500 Onimaru × TGC: the Runway Collection, you’ll be able to swap it into a BLOCWARS Apartment: the Backstage Access.

What are you currently working on and can you describe your future roadmap?

As we just completed the Farms system update, we will continue to add more new content. At the same time, we are firmly working on our new personal space apartment, where you can have your own avatar, change your own clothes, decorate your room with different furniture and items, visit other apartments of your friends and neighbours, interact with new friends, and much more.

What’s more, the apartment for now is only a small part of the future metaverse. In addition to the development of the marketplace, we never stopped building the macro structure and the various details of the metaverse, hoping to achieve the desired results with the best quality.

What notable partnerships and backers do you have?

We’ve collaborated with leading NFT marketplaces such as Binance NFT, Galler.io, Tofu and Element. And as fashion is one of our core concepts, we formed a partnership with the biggest fashion festival, Tokyo Girls Collection (TGC), in launching Onimaru × TGC: the Runway Collection. We’ve also held a joint artworks exhibition with 30 Japanese artists in Shibuya in April 2022.

Next step, we’ll reach more fashion brands, famous IPs, celebrities and top VCs for partnerships.

we have just launched Blocwars apartment last month, the apartment access NFTs entitle holders access to the apartment, it’s free to mint for TGC holders and 300 of them were sold out in Apr on galler in 4hrs.

With the recent launch of item nfts, we have couch, tv, rack, speakers, you can always move them around to decorate your own apartment.

We also hosted our first onimaru artwork joint exhibition on Apr in Japan, it’s a 4 day offline event.

We collaborated with 30 famous Japanese artists, each one of them created one piece of unique physical onimaru artwork which was shown during exhibition.

We covered over 5m social media exposure, had over 1k visitors attended including celebrities, artists and kols.
